From the publishers of Laine Magazine comes the eagerly awaited 52 Weeks of Socks. Just as the beautiful Laine Magazine has become a must have on our personal knit and crochet book shelves, so too will be this new book.
The book contains 52 knitting patterns for socks and slippers. The patterns feature a range of different techniques and textures, such as lace, cables, tuck stitches, colourwork, duplicate stitching and felting. All patterns come in 2 sizes.
The book is suitable for both beginners and advanced sock knitters alike, as the difficulty level of patterns varies greatly. And as always in knitting (and in everything in life, really): you learn as you go.
With 256 pages and a weight of 1100 g (2.5 lb) this is a hardcover book with a capital B. The woven cover, uncoated paper and a ribbon place marker make it feel extra special – it is an item you want to keep on your coffee table, a book that will make even non-sock knitters want to cast on.
The book contains patterns from: Heidi Alander, Fiona Alice, Gina Baglia, Ainur Berkimbayeva, Katrine Birkenwasser, Karen Borrel, Sachiko Burgin, Diana Clinch, Verena Cohrs, Valentina Consalvi, Rachel Coopey, Nele Druyts, Marion Em, Lindsey Fowler, Fabienne Gassmann, Lucinda Guy, Dawn Henderson, Anja Heumann, Tiina Huhtaniemi, Caitlin Hunter, Mieka John, Amanda Jones, Joséphine & the seeds, Pauliina Karru, Isabell Kraemer, Tatiana Kulikova, Joji Locatelli, Erika López, Andrea Mowry, Paula Pereira, Rosa Pomar, Elena Potemkina, Amelia Putri, Emily Joy Rickard, Mona Schmidt, Nataliya Sinelshchikova, Marceline Smith, Minna Sorvala, Helen Stewart, Charlotte Stone, Becky Sørensen, Niina Tanskanen, Natalia Vasilieva, Kristine Vejar, Kajsa Vuorela and Mariya Zyaparova.

Sign-up now to participate in our January-March sweater club. Everyone from confident beginner to more experienced knitters can participate. Even if you've only ever knit scarves you can make a sweater.
Our club is perfect for Beginners to more advanced knitters. You’ll find that you can accomplish a lot with the knitting knowledge you already have coupled with our assistance and the encouragement from working with others participants.
Our chosen designs for this quarter are the Naima cardigan and the Sky Cardi.
Naima is a top down cardigan knit at 19 sts to 4". You can choose from two versions; full length with pockets or waist length. This popular design has over 1,200 projects on Ravelry.
The Sky Cardi is a cute easy to knit open cardigan that is a perfect transitional sweater that you can wear with jeans, dress or tunic. This design is knit with fingering weight yarn but finishes up quickly since its a shorter length.
Our first meet-up will be Sunday, January 20, 12pm-2pm. Come in from now until January 20 so we can help you choose the perfect yarn for your sweater. Bring your circular needles and start swatching right away. Depending on your design choice you will need circular needles in sizes US 3, 6, 7, 8.
